  1. Could someone just explain in plain English set by step exactly how to
    set/ program your bike to the max speed and battery out put without risking damaging the motor or battery life. As well as saving the settings and also going back to default?

    1. Can somebody explain how to make LED display the correct speed? It is only showing around 2 kmh even if running at 20kmh.. thank you.

      1. push the midlle button to turn on the bike. press the plus and minus buttons at the sametime until you enter program mode. now push the middle button again until you reach the P08 code. push the top button until the desired power setting is reached then push the middle button until the screen stops flashing and your done. i set mine to 100. the max power you can get just to see if it really works. yes it really works. i’m going to turn it down to 50. that is all it really needs but try 100 just once for the sheer fun of it. i would agree that leaving it up that high all the time could smoke the bateries and the motor if left there all the time but for a fun burst once i awhile, why not?

        1. My Tankx Cargo ebike’s power seems to be cutting in and out. Many times when I pedal very long time, the power assist function does not activate, and I end up having to continuously pedal hard, but move very slowly and my legs are in pain. The throttle also does not work when the power does not engage. Hope you can help. Thank you.

          1. Go to advanced setting (long hold -+ together) and single click M until P03: Voltage grade: 24V, 36V, 48V, default 36V;

            Make sure voltage is 48V

            If that does not work, there may be a physical connection problems in the controller area. Can visits our warehouse for check up:

        2. Mark Urban, do you know what settings to do to make sure the speedometer is showing the correct speed? It seems mine is showing a speed of 5 kph, when the bike is going at over 20 kph.

    What will changing P05 do in the Settings?
    Assist gear: there are 3, 5 and 9 gears adjustable;
    What should they be set at?

    I want to use handlebar throttle control only ( I find pedal assist action too delayed and then too much push).
    Is there a simple way to disable pedal assist?
    I find terminalogy in instructions confusing, is there a defininition of the meaning of some phrases?

  5. Another issue… the speedometer on my Tankx cargo bike does not display the correct speed. It’s like it shows 5 km per hour, when I am moving definitely over 20 km per hour. Hope you can help. Thank you.

  6. Warranty ends as soon as you pedal it once. We had a twist throttle fail after 20km. Solder on the internal wiring broke, No warranty. Do not buy from showroom floor. We got one in a box and one off the floor. The floor bike has rusted and corroded at ever exposed point. Spokes are completely rusted. Bike had been rode in the salt a lot(test drives?). The bike out of the box also had better quality hydraulic brakes. The floor model had cable driven.

  7. When I connect throttle wire, there’s a squeaking noise and pedal assist stops working. When I disconnect throttle, pedal assist works again
    E07. Suggestions?
